Derek Carr's Travels in 2007
I'm retired, so I have some time available, but not very much money. So my travels this year have again been mostly in England, and two weeks in Majorca, which was great. I've had a lot of short holidays or day trips in England that have been very good, despite a rather miserable year weather-wise.
I ran out of space on my previous web pages, so I'm renting a lot more space here. I quite liked the way the pages turned out last year, so I'm doing something very similar this year too. In February, I bought myself a new digital camera, a Kodak 360 which also does video, so I've included a couple of pages of those converted to flash format. Just follow the links below or on the left.

The various camps I've been on.

In Birmingham and around: Birmingham centre, bluebells in Hartshill Hayes country park, Pershore and the 800th anniversary of the Coleshill charter.

Stately homes I've visited: Farnborough Hall near Banbury, Emmett's and Leeds Castle in Kent, Stourhead, Oldway Mansion in Torbay and Packwood near Birmingham.

Our holiday in Kent, near Rochester. Visiting Rochester (a couple of videos of theatrical events), and around the Kent towns and country.

Holiday to Dorset and then over to Torbay. Staying near Wareham, visiting Dorchester and some Dorset villages, then to Seaton en route to Babbacombe.

Finally, in October, two weeks' holiday in Porto Alcudia, Majorca, visiting C'an Picafort, Porto Pollensa and Alcudia old town.
