Bournemouth Christmas Holiday

In December, just over a week before Christmas, we had a "Turkey and Tinsel" break in Bournemouth. The first full day, Tuesday, we went on the coach to Salisbury. The photos of that are on their own page.

Poole at Christmas

We went to Poole on the bus on Wednesday, changing in Bournemouth centre. The bus drops you off by the Dolphin Centre, and we had a look round there, then walked down the High Street (about a mile) to Poole Quay, and had lunch there. We walked along the quay and watched a couple of cormorants and half dozen oystercatchers and sat a bit. We then came back and had a look round the pottery outlet, then caught the Route One bus back to the bus station, had a coffee and cake then got the bus back to Bournemouth in the dark (so we saw the lights).

Bournemouth and Christchurch

On Thursday we caught to bus into Bournemouth, a little earlier. We had a bit of a look round, then got the bus to Christchurch. We had lunch and afternoon tea there.
