Spring the Midlands 2010

These photos are of Sheldon and Yardley on the eastern edge of Birmingham, where I live. All taken in early April.

We are very fortunate to have some really nice traffic islands in Sheldon and Yardley. Here are a selection that I took on 9th April 2010:

Island at bottom of Ollerton Rd/Garrets Green Lane/Barrows Lane Island at the crossing of Barrows Lane and Brays Road, Sheldon Island at Stirrup Cup, crossing of Brays Road and Horrell Road Island at Radleys/ Sheldon Heath/Brays/Church roads, Sheldon Island at what was the east Birmingham college, police station - Sheldon Heath/Garretts Green, Sheldon Island at the crossing of Elmay and Horrell Roads, my van.

Tamworth

The next day it was off to Tamworth to see their terrific gardens:
