Kingston Lacy House and Gardens

Saturday the 12th was another lovely sunny day. There were a few more clouds, but where we were there was much less wind. We set off about ˝10 to Kingston Lacy house and gardens. It was Heritage Day so free entry. First we looked at some of the gardens.

Then at ˝11, as we were on a timed ticket, into the house. Some nice touches, and a nice house. I liked the nursery done as a tent! Mom didn't see that, she stayed on the first floor.

Then we went over to the café for an ice-cream and round the round the rest of the garden to the Japanese garden (and I sat on the Heavenly Seat)

Then we went back via the modern art displays and the sunken garden. All very nice; a most enjoyable visit. Back at the van we had coffee and I had malt loaf and a sat a bit, then left just after 5.
