We went to Kingsbridge and eventually found a reasonable car-park for £1.50 for 2 hours. We walked back up the steep hill to Fore Street and walked down that looking at the shops and in the charity shops. Nice place. Also, we were looking at lunch possibilities.
We got down to the quay at the top of the creek and walked along there then back where we got some lunch from the Quay Bakery. I had a pork and and apple pastie, large custard and a diet Coke, and mom had a (large) sausage roll and a cake. We ate by the bus depot. Nice and filling and we didn't get to eat our cakes! I then found a fascinating way back to the car-park through the Eastern that avoided the hills.

We drove then to Salcombe through lovely countryside. I stopped near Marlborough and got some photos.

We drove round and through looking for parking and eventually got a free spot for 2 hours. First went to the Devon Road park and sat there a little bit enjoying the view. Then down the very steep hill to quay. We looked round, bought an ice-cream then found seating in the central square. It's very much like Fowey – nice but a bit touristy. Chatted to a few people there. We started back when it clouded up and took it easy up the slope, then a sit in the park again. Just got back to the van as it started to rain.
