Visit to Fairhaven Water Gardens

On Wednesday 21 May, we sought out (not without difficulty) and visited Fairhaven gardens at South Walsham. That's a short drive through country lanes from Acle on the main Great Yarmouth to Norwich road.

It's a great garden, especially its candelabra primulas which were all over the place in profusion. We took a picnic into the gardens, which we ate just up the path from a 900-year old oak (magnificent!) It was quite cool in the shade, even out of the wind. Still there was a sunny spot nearby, where we sat on the grass to warm up for a bit.
