Brixham is at the opposite side of the bay from Torquay and is a charming old-world harbour and town. William of Orange (William III) landed here to take the crown in 1688, there's a large statue of him on the quay. Also in the harbour there is a full-sized replica of the Golden Hind, in which Drake circumnavigated the globe.
