Blackpool Holiday December
|

|
We went for a turkey and tinsel break at the end of November and beginning of December. The last time I'd been to Blackpool was some time in the 50's, so I didn't remember it at all. So this was a good opportunity to go there again. We'd enjoyed the Britannia hotel in Bournemouth, so we went to another of the chain, the Savoy, in Blackpool. It wasn't so well organised, but was very friendly. Also a beautiful art deco hotel.

Let's enjoy the lights first. The famous Blackpool illuminations are switched off at the end of October, and they were dismantling them while we were there. The trams weren't running either, still, in the centre they had some great Christmas lights, with projectors to throw images onto the walls. Here's my video of some of it.
OK, now let's look at some of the other photos of Blackpool, Fleetwood and Cleveleys to the north.

Of course, we must have a shot of the tower. It was closed while we were there.
