Derek Carr's Travels in 2006

Having retired late in 2005 (although I'd not been working for a couple of years before that), it left me with quite a bit of time available, but not very much money. So my travels this year have been mostly in England, and not so far, at that. I did get a week in Spain, which was great, but I've had a lot of short holidays or day trips in England that have been quite memorable.

Because of that, I'm approaching this year's travel pages rather differently than previous years. There are a number of approaches on these pages, since I've had a few problems running the uploads (I ran out of space).
